About SSL Certificates

SSL Certificate Website Security

An SSL Certificate is used to encrypt the connection between your website and the web browser of viewers of your website. This is essential for websites requiring sensitive information from users, such as a password or credit card number. It also provides website visitors with a sense of security knowing their transaction with your website is secure.

First Impressions Are Everything

The last thing your website visitors want to see when they come to your website is a big security warning!

Why do you need an SSL?

Installing an SSL Certificate helps keep your customer’s personal information and sensitive data secure, letting your visitors know that your website can be trusted.

What does an SSL include?

  • 256-bit encryption
  • 24/7 Australian support
  • Works on all browsers
  • Trusted by Google
  • Boost website conversions
  • $10,000+ warranty optional

How does SSL work?

  1. A user arrives on your website
  2. A browser or server attempts to connect to a website (i.e. a web server) secured with SSL. The browser/server requests that the web server identify itself.
  3. The web server sends the browser/ server a copy of its SSL certificate.
  4. The browser/server checks to see whether or not it trusts the SSL Certificate. If so, it sends a message to the web server.
  5. The web server sends back a digitally signed acknowledgement to start an SSL encrypted session.
  6. Encrypted data is shared between the browser/server and the web server.
